Are you looking for a Marina Bay Sands alternative hotel in Singapore? Let’s face it: Marina Bay Sands with its epic infinity pool is pretty iconic… but it has the price tag to match. This hotel is ridiculously expensive and frequently all booked up.
If you want to stay somewhere similar to Marina Bay Sands (AKA, have access to a rooftop infinity pool), but not get overcharged just for the name, then I’ve got you covered in this article!
Why Look for a Marina Bay Sands Alternative Hotel?
I dreamed of staying at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore for years… until I saw the current price tag. Room rates have skyrocketed in the past couple years (thanks, inflation) and what used to be a reasonable splurge is now easily over $1,000 per night, when you add in all the taxes and fees. And that’s for a, let’s be honest, pretty average room. No thanks.
But just because I didn’t have the cash to stay at Marina Bay Sands didn’t mean I wanted to skip out on the classic Singapore infinity pool hotel experience.
I did my research on Marina Bay Sands alternative hotels and ended up booking a hotel with an amazing infinity pool – at a fraction of the price. Below, I’m sharing all that research with you.
15 Best Marina Bay Sands Alternative Hotels
Below are 15 of the best hotels in Singapore that have infinity pools, which I consider to be Marina Bay Sands alternatives.
I have listed the hotels in order of lowest to highest nightly rate. Please note that the rates can be quite variable, depending on season, holidays, and other factors. Please click the links to check the official prices directly with the hotels themselves!
1. Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena ($)
Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena is the hotel that I chose to book, as my own personal Marina Bay Sands alternative.
There is a stunning rooftop infinity pool here with skyline views of Singapore. I particularly loved the lounge platforms here with cool circular cutouts looking out over the infinity pool – great for a photo op.
There is also a rooftop bar and restaurant, making this hotel quite similar in amenities to Marina Bay Sands, although way less crowded and much more affordable.
Rates: Starting at $259 SGD / $192 USD
2. Mercure Singapore Bugis ($)
Mercure Singapore Bugis is the most affordable Marina Bay Sands alternative hotel on this list. It’s a 4-star hotel conveniently located in the CBD.
Better yet? It has a stunning 25-meter infinity pool with city views, as well as multiple restaurants and bars.
This is definitely the best bang for your buck anywhere in Singapore, if you want to stay somewhere with an infinity pool!
Rates: Starting at $187 SGD / $139 USD
3. Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong ($)
Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, located only 15 minutes from the Singapore airport, is on the more affordable end of Singapore hotels with infinity pools.
Nevertheless, the rooftop infinity pool here is definitely competitive with the more luxury hotels on this list.
The rooftop infinity pool is open until 10pm and features a bar offering cocktails and snacks. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and luxurious rain showers.
Rates: Starting at $190 SGD / $141 USD
4. JEN Singapore Orchard Gateway by Shangri-La ($)
JEN Singapore Orchard Gateway by Shangri-La has an award-winning infinity pool as well as outdoor dining options. This is one of the largest infinity pools and rooftop areas in Singapore.
Guests here can expect 4-star amenities, including a fitness center, in-room dining, and more.
Rates: Starting at $256 SGD / $190 USD
5. Momentus Hotel Alexandra ($$)
Momentus Hotel Alexandra is a 4-star hotel tucked away in the Alexandra area, close to the Southern Ridges but still within reach of the city center.
Like Marina Bay Sands, this hotel has a rooftop infinity pool. However, the pool looks out over the bay instead of the city skyline, which means epic sunrise and sunset views!
On the pool deck, you also get an unblocked panoramic view of the Southern Ridges, as well as access to a rooftop sunset bar.
Rates: Starting at $288 SGD / $214 USD
6. Naumi Hotel ($$)
Naumi Hotel is a boutique hotel with an infinity pool that would be one of my own personal picks to stay in Singapore – due to its impeccable design and location.
Notably, this hotel features the Cloud 9 Infinity Pool and Bar. The infinity pool has a panoramic view over the Singapore skyscrapers, while you can relax in a romantic lounger and order from the poolside bar (just like Marina Bay Sands!).
Rates: Starting at $304 SGD / $226 USD
7. Dao by Dorsett AMTD ($$)
Dao by Dorsett AMTD is a serviced apartment hotel located conveniently in the CBD.
On level 7 you will find a gorgeous outdoor infinity pool. Although it is not a rooftop pool, you still get great views of the Singapore skyscrapers and a pool deck featuring comfortable loungers.
Notably, this hotel also has some unique amenities. It is pet friendly, has a luxury toy collection for kids, offers a complimentary shuttle service, and more.
Rates: Starting at $315 SGD / $234 USD
8. Hotel Telegraph ($$)
Hotel Telegraph is a 5-star boutique hotel located in the center of Singapore, featuring opulent 20th century design and, of course, an outdoor infinity pool.
The beautiful infinity pool is surrounded by towering skyscrapers as well as an outdoor bar.
Many of the Marina Bay Sands alternative hotels I list here are in ultra-modern skyscrapers. Hotel Telegraph stands out as the only historic building (built 1927) that is also home to an infinity pool.
Rates: Starting at $349 SGD / $259 USD
9. Andaz Singapore ($$)
Andaz Singapore is a luxury hotel with a contemporary design, conveniently located at the crossroads of Kampong Glam, Little India and Bras Basah Bugis districts.
This hotel has one of the best infinity pools in Singapore, which truly rivals the pool at Marina Bay Sands.
You’ll find multiple restaurants and bars throughout the hotel. The rooms themselves are a standout as well, as they all feature floor to ceiling windows.
Rates: Starting at $360 SGD / $267 USD
10. Ascott Raffles Place ($$)
Ascott Raffles Place is an aparthotel located in the super central and convenient Raffles Place, within a 5-minute walk of the Raffles MRT station.
The infinity pool here is quite unique due its glass walls. Not only can you see city views from the pool itself, but when you lay in the lounge chairs you can also see into the pool – which can make for an epic photo.
As far as the hotel goes, its amenities are extensive with rooms coming with kitchenettes, BOSE sound systems, lounge areas, and more.
Rates: Starting at $360 SGD / $267 USD
11. Sofitel Singapore City Centre ($$)
Sofitel Singapore City Centre is a luxury hotel featuring a unique outdoor pool with views over the city skyline.
The pool is not on the rooftop, however it has its own unique style because it is surrounded by tons of lush plants and has a 180-degree city view.
The hotel itself, of course, is spectacular with elegant rooms and an extensive daily buffet breakfast.
Rates: Starting at $399 SGD / $296 USD
12. JW Marriott Singapore South Beach ($$)
JW Marriott Singapore South Beach is home to not one, but two infinity pools. The pools even have built-in water beds, platforms, and jets to elevate the experience.
There are also three bars, and multiple restaurants throughout the hotel – so you can still have your cocktail by the poolside experience.
Rates: Starting at $409 SGD / $304 USD
13. The Westin Singapore ($$)
The Westin Singapore is a gorgeous 5-star family friendly hotel located in the heart of the CBD.
Here you can find one of the highest infinity pools of any hotel in Singapore. The outdoor infinity pool is located on the 35th floor, with beautiful views over Singapore’s south coast.
On the pool deck, enjoy chaise lounges, submerged sunbeds, and large umbrellas for shade.
Rates: Starting at $410 SGD / $304 USD
14. PARKROYAL Collection Pickering ($$)
The PARKROYAL Collection Pickering is home to an outdoor infinity pool that snakes around the building’s edge, and it surrounded by an urban garden. There is nothing quite like it in Singapore!
Note that there are other PARKROYAL hotels in Singapore, including this one in Marina Bay, and they all have outdoor pools. However, the Pickering location has the best-rated infinity pool and so will be your best bet for a worthy Marina Bay Sands alternative.
Rates: Starting at $428 SGD / $318 USD
15. Fullerton Bay Hotel ($$$)
Fullerton Bay Hotel is a classy and luxurious hotel just a 10-minute walk from Raffles Place, in the center of Singapore.
Arguably, the rooftop infinity pool is even better than Marina Bay Sands’, because you get breathtaking views of Marina Bay Sands!
The pool deck also features two jacuzzi hot tubs, and a rooftop bar.
Of all the Marina Bay Sands alternative hotels, this one is the most similar in terms of luxury and rooftop pool size and views. Unfortunately, it also has the price tag to match (although it’s still more affordable than Marina Bay Sands).
Rates: Starting at $643 SGD / $478 USD
Final Notes on Choosing a Marina Bay Sands Alternative Hotel in Singapore
I loved my trips to Singapore and I’m so happy that I got to stay in a hotel with an infinity pool – it’s really a must when in this hot, humid metropolis! Even better is that I didn’t have to shell out a huge amount of money for the perk.
I really believe that the majority of the cost of staying at Marina Bay Sands comes from the name alone! If you don’t feel the need to say “I stayed at Marina Bay Sands,” then the Marina Bay Sands alternative hotels I listed above should definitely suffice.
I really hope this article was helpful for you, as you plan your trip to Singapore!
