British Summer Bucket List
Summer is coming! The sun is still in the sky at 8:30pm, and I am very, very happy. Already the spring has flown by, so I’m making an attack plan… MY BRITISH SUMMER BUCKET LIST.
This will be my first ever summer in England, and I’m looking forward to a reprieve from the drizzle and mist. Hopefully I’ll be able to check off a few of these, but I’ll check in with you in August 😉
- See a play at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall
- See a play at the Globe in London
- See an outdoor play in Regent’s Park
- Go punting in Oxford
- Visit Kew Gardens
- Hike to Old Harry Rocks
- Walk the Cobb in Lyme Regis
- Go swimming at Tinside Lido
- Paddleboard in the ocean
- Have a pint overlooking the ocean
- Take the ferry to Kingsand/Cawsand in Cornwall
- Drink Pimms in the sun
- Go to Monkey World in Dorset
- Go camping and bring a large camp tent at Dartmoor
- Have a disposable barbecue
- Get a wetsuit and swim in the ocean
- Visit Cardiff
- Go to and/or celebrate Wimbledon
- Try out Duck & Waffle and Breakfast Club in London
- Go on a blue bell walk
- Go to a music festival
- Attend the Welsh literary festival at Hay-on-Wye
- Visit Liverpool
- Visit Wexford, Ireland
- Go up the Shard In London
- Visit Durham
- Run the Totnes 10k

I’m staying in the UK (I think) this summer too! I just read about the beach huts in Dorset in TimeOut this morning on my way to work and am now convinced I have to go … that and Cornwall are on my list. I need to be by the seaside!
They are SO CUTE! There are rainbow ones in Bournemouth, basically a village of them at Hengistbury Head, and a few specially designed ones in Swanage. I hope you get to see them 🙂
